HawkTalk is Hawthorn Football Club's annual season review which is distributed to all members and stakeholders of the club at the end of the year.

Within my role as Communications Coordinator, HawkTalk was a key project whereby I oversaw the layout, content, and design of the 64-page publication. Additionally, I contributed articles, edited the publication, and worked closely with the club's graphic designer throughout the production process.

 

As the project was fiercely driven by deadlines, it required developing various production plans and WIPs to ensure all content could be collated, edited and approved before print, as well as ready for distribution alongside membership fulfilment packs.

 

A high degree of internal and external stakeholder management was essential to ensure all commercial and editorial content was received by corporate partners and affiliated member groups, and that all contributions met the publication's design and editorial criteria.
